Ryan Jarosek of Tiki Tiki Reptiles and Jarosek Park Reptiles chats with us about the best ways to keep Veiled Chameleons Chameleo calyptratus. For those thinking of getting a Chameleon for the first time this is generally the species that we all start out with.  As we said Ryan takes us through the set-up, maintenance, and I think he covered the whole gambit within this interview as far as the Veiled Chameleon Chameleo calyptratus is concerned. For more information on their specific needs we highly recommend that you check out Ryan and his sites.  Then for a fun read on Carl the accidental Chameleon you can click here.

While we were at the Pomona Reptile SuperShow we had the opportunity to sit with Andrew Wyatt President of United States Association of Reptile Keepers which is usually called USARK by most.  We asked Andrew to explain what is USARK and why is it important to the reptile community.  He of course obliged us and not only that but he talked about the recent victories, the on going war, as well as where the money is going when you donate to USARK. If you want to visit them you can find them at www.usark.org

Julie Bergman of Gecko Ranch sits down with us in the living room to talk about her experiences breeding and caring for the Phelsuma species.  We learn from Julie that there used to be dog sized Phelsuma around 100 years ago and that they are not all that delicate as we believed. Julie also speaks to us about the others species of Gecko that she’s working with as well.  So have a seat on the couch won’t you and join Julie Bergman as she discuss’ the incredible Phelsuma sp.
